This is one of several new UNUN's being added to the Balun Designs line of quality products. These designs are excellent for matching antennas such as inverted L's, vertical wires and other low feedpoint impedance designs. 

Unlike Baluns, Unun's (unbalanced to unbalanced) provide impedance transformation for antennas that are naturally unbalanced because of their construction configuration. Even though the unun's appear small is size, they are able to handle very high power (2kw continuous - matched condition) because of their excellent efficiency.

Design Features:

Special mix toroid with low permeability. Toroid is also coated with epoxy paint for extra durablity.

Design has excellent broadband frequency response and is very efficient (99%).

Windings of trifilar 14 gauge Thermaleze wire. 

Insertion loss is < 0.1db.

SO-239 connectors are silver plated with teflon insulation and gold center conductor. 

All hardware is Stainless Steel. Eyebolts and studs are 1/4".

Unun is installed in a weatherproof 4" X 4" X 2" NEMA Box that is excellent for outdoor and/or remote installations.

This unun will handle continuous power and tolerate high SWR for extended periods.

It will not heat up at rated power, using extended duty cycles or stressing load conditions.
