This is one of several new UNUN's being added to the Balun Designs line of quality products. These designs are excellent for matching antennas such as inverted L's, vertical wires and other low feedpoint impedance designs. Windings for this model feature custom made coax to provide high power capability at low impedance.

Unlike Baluns, Unun's (unbalanced to unbalanced) provide impedance transformation for antennas that are naturally unbalanced because of their construction configuration. Even though the unun's appear small is size, they are able to handle very high power (matched condition) because of their excellent efficiency.

This model is optimized for 160 through 40 meters.

Design Features:

• Special mix toroid with low permeability. Toroid is also coated with epoxy paint for extra durablity.
• Design has excellent broadband frequency response and is very efficient (99%).
• Windings of custom made low impedance coax.
• Insertion loss is < 0.2db
• SO-239 connectors are silver plated with teflon insulation and gold center conductor.
• All hardware is Stainless Steel. Eyebolts and studs are 1/4"
• N & DIN connectors plus mounting options are available in the Accessories section.
• The balun is installed in a weatherproof 4" X 4" X 2" NEMA Box that are excellent for outdoor and/or remote installations.
